  1. Videos and audiovisual resources

This tool helps us to increase the motivation and interest of the students in the activity as they feel more connected to the topic to be discussed.

How is it used in our learning situation?

Videos are used at various times during the learning situation to better contextualize the activity or content.

- Session 1: We use it to help children better understand what the European Commission is and what its functions are.

- Session 3: The video serves as a foundation upon which children will build their understanding of climate change and its consequences.

- Session 5: In the same way as in the other classes, we use it as a dynamic resource in explaining what a habitat is and its characteristics.

  1. Quizziz

As a gamification tool, this technological resource boosts student motivation and engagement, encouraging the active assimilation of knowledge, skills and values. In addition, it facilitates constant feedback that contributes significantly to the learning process, thus creating a more dynamic and participatory educational environment.

How is it used in our learning situation?

We use this resource in Lesson 2 to reinforce the contents worked on and explained previously. In addition, it is a way to conclude the session by making sure that the students have understood it well.

  1. Google Forms

Google forms is a very flexible resource that can be adapted to any situation. Moreover, since it is easy to use, it does not require a lot of explanation time for its use.

One of its greatest benefits is that the teacher's work is facilitated since the results can be sent to a spreadsheet or can be programmed to self-evaluate the task. 

These are some of the advantages offered by Google Forms.


How is it used in our learning situation?

Google Forms is also used at different times during classes. As we have seen, it presents multiple benefits and facilities for teaching practice. In addition, it is a practical way to evaluate the degree of knowledge of the students of the contents.

 - Session 1: It is used to check previous knowledge of each student and it is the tool we use to then create the groups depending on their results.

  1. Padlet

This resource helps us to promote cognitive development thus enhancing the teaching-learning process.

On the other hand, Padlet facilitates the dynamism of the classes with more interaction from the students.

How is it used in our learning situation?

We believe it is a great tool to summarize in a visual way all the information that the groups have searched for before.

- Session 1: We use it as a way to put the information in a collaborative way so the discussion can take place with each group having the information they have searched for, presented in a more visual format.

  1. Recording a video

The recording of a video by the students develops a discovery of new facets of reality as well as a learning of new forms of expression.

How is it used in our learning situation?

Recording a video, specifically with the flip app, we used it in session 4. Through this activity, the children not only improve teamwork since everyone must be part of it, but they are also active agents in their learning process. In addition, it is an effective way to capture all the actions they have previously thought of to improve climate change.

  1. Online roulette

The roulette wheel is a dynamic tool that can be used in many situations. Children will be engaged in the activity and will maintain their interest.


How is it used in our learning situation?

In our learning situation, we have used the roulette to determine the order of the groups in sessions 2 and 3. This is a different and original way of doing it.




  1. Virtual reality

This resource combines elements of the real world with the virtual world. Therefore, cognitive experiences are fostered from a visual perspective. In addition, it improves communication in the environment in which students and teachers operate.

On the other hand, being an easy-to-use tool, the student feels at ease in the learning process with such elements.

These are just some of the many benefits of this resource.

How is it used in our learning situation?

By using the virtual reality glasses in session 5 where the different habitats are worked on, we believe it is a dynamic and different way for the children to connect with the content and understand it better.

  1. Apps

The use of mobile applications in general and, therefore, the one we used during session 5 has some advantages. For example, thanks to them, learning is encouraged because the interaction of the student-teacher improves, even with his or her family.

How is it used in our learning situation?

The application is used in the same lesson of the virtual glasses. Our intention is that these are the main activity and the app is a complementary one so that students can continue working on the content in this way.

  1. QR in a gymkana

The use of QR in a gymkhana provides multiple benefits. The one that we consider most important is that the students have a more motivating and, above all, active learning, as they are the protagonists of the activity. In addition, depending on the information in each QR, students learn different contents.


How is it used in our learning situation?

We believe that the use of the QR and how they have to look for them in session 6 makes the students work as a team with more motivation and interest being more active.

  1. Bee-Boots

It has a positive effect on scientific problem solving abilities. In particular, the ability to find and plan problems, to think and implement ideas, and to complete problem solving.


How is it used in our learning situation?

The Bee-Boots are the final resource with which we ended our learning situation. We liked the idea of using it as we think it fit very well with the final message we wanted to make about the European Commission.

All the technological resources that we have used encourage the dynamism of the classes, besides increasing the interest, motivation and curiosity of the students for the curricular contents.
