SESSION
1 and 2- Classification of animals
In this session, the European Commission will meet to investigate and resolve the following question: What differences do we find between the five families of animals?
The objectives to work on in this session are:
- 2.1. Classify animals according to their natural habitat.
- 2.2. Identify the different types of animals and their characteristics.
The estimated time of the session will be approximately 2 session. In the first hour, we are going to start with an individual questionnaire and then we are going to explain students the content. In the second hour, they will complete the padlet.
LESSON 1
Firstly, a form will be given to each child so we can check the previous knowledge that our students have as well as they warm up with the previous knowledge.

The class will be divided in groups of 5 members each one. We are going to explain them how the padlet website works so that they can carry out the activity without any problem. To do the activity, they will have to look for information on the internet so that they can be able to classify the different characteristics of the animals.
As we can see in the photo, the information students will have to complete in the padlet is:
- Mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish.
- Oviparous and viviparous.
- Carnivore, herbivore and omnivore.
- Vertebrate and invertebrate.
- Aquatic, terrestrial, aerial.
LESSON 2
In the first part of the class, the class will share and discuss what the groups have put in the padlet based on the information they have found on the Internet.
